Season Two is the second season of 9-1-1. It was announced that the series had been renewed for a second season on January 16, 2018.[1]
The second season premiered initially on September 23, 2018 on a Sunday with "Under Pressure" which was followed by "7.1" on September 24, 2019 and concluded with "This Life We Choose" on May 13, 2019.
Production of Season 2 began on July 12, 2018, and concluded on April 6, 2019.[2]

- Below are the changes made to the main cast this season:
- Connie Britton (Abigail Clark) did not return for this season, as her one-year deal with the series came to an end after the first season.[16] As such, she has been removed from the "starring" credits.
- Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ryan Guzman are cast as series regulars for their first appearances as Maddie Buckley, Buck's sister who hides from an abusive relationship as a 911 operator[17][18] and Eddie Diaz, a firefighter, respectively.
- As of "Under Pressure", both are credited as series regulars.
- Corinne Massiah (May Grant) and Marcanthonee Jon Reis (Harry Grant) are upgraded to series regulars starting with "Under Pressure" after previous recurring appearances in the first season.[19]
- On May 31, 2018, it was reported that the cast was shooting promotional material for the upcoming season.[20]
